The Fall racing league season will be held on our Super Veloce Track (super track). The championship will be held on the same night (11/21) as the final regular season league night. After the last regular season race is complete, the scores will be totaled and we will prepare for the championship series.
Upon arriving for the first night of the Fall Racing League, each racer will be required to declare allegiance to one of three teams: American Muscle, Eurozoom, or Pacific Rims. Once a racer has declared their allegiance, there will be no switching. Simply, show up on league days to join in on the racing fun.
During league season, racers will do 3 races each night, priced at $39. All races will be on track #1 and start at 7 p.m. Racers will be randomly assigned a kart number. We will do our best to not have racers assigned to the same kart number more than once in the same day. If a kart has to be removed from the track and replaced by another kart due to a mechanical issue, the decision as to the replacement kart by the race steward will be final.
Heats 1 and 2 will be 14 laps each and be for best single lap time. The best single lap times from each race for each racer will be averaged to seed by position for heat 3, which shall be for position. Heat 3 will be 16 laps and conducted on a rolling start behind a pace kart for the first two laps. Blocking will be allowed in heat 3, but only to the extent that it does not endanger the safety of any other racer. If there are more than 10 racers on any night, there shall be an “A” final, “B” final, etc., so that every racer will have 3 races.
THE POINTS SYSTEM
Each league night, the top 10 racers in “Final A” for heat 3 will be awarded points in reverse order from 15 to 6 – 15 points for 1st place, 14 points for 2nd place, etc. The top 3 racers in “Final B” will be awarded points in reverse order from 5 to 3 – 5 points for 1st place, 4 points for 2nd place, 3 points for 3rd place. The top 2 racers in “Final C” will be awarded points in reverse order from 2 to 1 – 2 points for 1st place, and 1 point for 2nd place. Separate point tallies for each of the three teams will be accumulated during league season, which will be published on Facebook and on our website on the Tuesday after the prior league night. After the season is completed, the top 3 points finishers for each team (9 racers total) automatically qualify for the championship. A wildcard 10th racer will also be in the championship and this racer will be whomever has the most points out of all teams and did not qualify already. Every racer on the team with the top points total at the end of league season shall be awarded one free 3-pack of races at the track.
Championship Night shall be on the Super Track (both tracks combined together) with karts randomly selected, and will be 3 races priced at $39. Heats 1 and 2 shall be 8 laps each and be for best single lap time. The best single lap times from each race for each racer will be averaged to seed by position for heat 3, which shall be for position. We will take the best single lap time for both heat 1 and 2 and average them together in order to get the starting order for the final race of the night – heat 3. Heat 3 (9 laps) will be scored based on position of finish and will begin with a rolling start as the pace kart will lead them around the track for the first lap. Blocking is allowed in heat 3, but only to the extent that it does not endanger any other racer. The racers in heat 3 will be awarded points in reverse order of finish – 10 points for 1st, 9 points for 2nd, etc. Awards shall be as follows:
